Mood board (contd)

When i constructed my mood board i took into account the song lyrics; "this is the place", Junkie", "shocking appalling"; these are all key lyrics to the song . Particularly on the bottom half of the mood board; the colours are dark, blurred and have general connotations of intoxication, and the overall mood is a depressing one. All of the images in the mood board bear some significance, for example, the the woman sitting on the curb will be based on a typical male gaze which will be used in our video. The overly saturated image of the alleyway behind the woman could play a part in the video also, as it is dark and gloomy symbolic of where the "junkies go". The needle also anchors the lyrics of the song "junkie", and the bass guitar which is dominant throughout the track. The mood dramatically changes though, because throughout there is a gigantic crescendo which flips from gloomy to more perussion and singing; the ones which have most meaning, allows the audience to recognize the reality of the song itself. I have also included a number of contextual more iconic images including a cutout filtered image of a London alleyway, representing the loneliness aspect of the suburbs of busy capital. Overall i believe this mood board is a good adaptation of many of Red Hot Chili Peppers lyrics and videos. it has many different readings for all audiences. The themes and ideas generated by RHCP music aren't all evident in this piece because this song could be seen as an anomolie of their mainly upbeat music.
