Spike Jonze is an american director of music videos and commercials, and an academy award nominated director and producer in film and televisions, most notably the 1999 film being John Malkovich. He is also credited as a co-creator of MTV's Jackass.
Weezer -Undone( The sweater song) Spike Jonze
This is a performance based video but has a few abstract feels to it. it shows thebanmd playing there music as they usually do but a pack of dogs run across the set, unexpected and nothing to do with the lyrics.There is an obvious relationship between lyrics and visuals as it is a video of the and playing the peice of music. the camera moves in and around the band and lots of close-ups of the indivudual stars are seen, as in the chorus it goes into the lead singer's face.
The camera is used in a very unique fashion in this music video. it is one fluid constant handicam shot with no editing or cutting, it ducks and weaves in and out of the band as they play going in and around each musician in turn,combining many different camera techniques. the video looks as if it could be shot in slow motion but it is just the way in which Weezer move when playing their instruments. it is shot in a basic studio and it is dont in the style of a sort of home video as the cameraman is walking around with the camera, entering the set through the front door and then leaving the set at the end.
