- Developments in technology have allowed music videos to be consumed by audiences via various different types of media.
- Websites such as MySpace, Youtube, and other forms of media such as music television channels, there are now 19 or 20 different channels which are split into the different genres of music to create a larger target audience.
- Youtube is obviously accessed through the Internet, and allows anyone to upload their own videos, whether they are home made or done in a studio, for any one else to consume at will. it can also be accessed by mobile phones and more recently, iPods.
- MySpace is again a similar process, with signed and unsigned bands able to upload their new tracks and videos onto the sight for their fans to view, as well as music production companies thingys [i've forgotten the word] that sign the bands.
- Music Television is available on many digital, sky, and cable connections and has several channels of different genres. they play music videos of a variety of different bands almost 24-7, however these are mainly the more recognised bands.
- videos are often made available as extras on the artists singles and albums on CD.
